Personal Branding

Personal Branding
The America Marketing Association         ( AMA) define brand as a name, term, sign, symbol or design or a combination of them to identify the goods and services of one seller or group of sellers and to differentiate them from those of other sellers or competitors.
Everyone sells something to earn a living being it goods or service. How do you customers or the society view you? When your name is mentioned, what come into mind?
In school, we were concerned with current trends. Thus we used to buy design T- shirts, jeans and shoes. If you go through the wardrobe, all that you will find are almost casual wears.
People were concerned with getting good grades. They don’t care going the extra mile; copying ‘ Apor’, even paying lecturers to pass them. Ignoring the fact that one will have to justify his or her self sooner or later.
People take their qualification as the only yardstick to get you a job ignoring (Recommendations). Nowadays, it will be very difficult to get a job if you are not being recommended by a person in position or elderly.
The last time I checked, senior staffs without any college degree were complaining about the fact that, after training the graduates, ( wo mo 3fa yen enye hw3) that is to say, they disrespect them.
Youth (graduates) of nowadays do not know how to say sorry, please or thank you. They even don’t know the fact that: ‘Those you meet at the bottom when climbing up are the same you will meet when climbing down’.
Branding has to do with two large concepts: your physics and attitude ( that is what my queen calls inner beauty and outside beauty).
Trim your hair properly, ladies a nice hair style will do; use environmental friendly perfumes and creams, use mouth wash: a good breath can make ones day and the vice versa.
Invest in a positive branding materials since you are going to the corporate world. If you don’t start in school, adjusting after school will also become another issue. You are quite rich when in school. You are broke when you come home. Changing the wardrobe becomes an issue. Very simple parents are willing to give you financial aid when in school compare to being home.
A guy who can no tack in, and put on a tie will find it inconvenient on his first interview appointment. A lady who can’t put on official wear will feel same.
We buy expensive phones, on an expensive date, attractive sites. They are all good but we should not forget the fact that these are not areas we will be answering at the interview grounds.
We need to be self motivated, self empowered and self made before we even complete our academic work. We should attend seminars when we hear of one on our campuses, we should buy and read book that will put us on the edge.
We should find life coaches who are already in the direction we want to be and have made it passively. We can get them by reading from them or getting them one- on - one.
After my somewhat experience, these are some of the coaches I will recommend : Rev Kyei Prempeh, Robert Kiyosaki, Wrick Warren, Brain Tracy, Zig Ziglar, Napoleon Hill, Les Brown, Joel Osteen, Albert Ocran to name a few.

Note one key thing that will keep you going is Love (love those who are even seen as unlovable).
